Description

This is a well located to the north of the Riverside Hotel in Ashford in the Water, dating from the 19th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with limestone dressings. The well features a semi-circular headed niche that is approximately 5 feet high, with a segmental arch above made of rubble voussoirs. Quoins are present on the sides, and there are plain 19th century iron railings at the front. The well is included in the listing for its group value only.
