Description

The bridge to the north of Ashford Bobbin Mill, located on Buxton Road, was built in the 1870s. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble and features gritstone copings. The bridge has a wide, single span with a segmental arch made of rubble voussoirs. Above the arch, there is a low parapet wall that slopes outward at each end. This structure is included in the listing for its group value. The bridge crosses into Sheldon Parish.
