Description
Stone Croft, Cuckoo Cottage, and the Little House are possibly a former house and warehouse that have been converted into three cottages. They date from the late 18th century and are constructed of rubble limestone with gritstone dressings. The roof is covered with cement tiles and features stone coped gables with moulded kneelers. There are two brick ridge stacks and one brick gable end stack, along with flush quoins. The building has three storeys and the south elevation consists of three bays.
The left two bays form the original house and include a doorway with a stone lintel and jambs, leading to a plank door. This doorway is flanked by windows on each side, which have flush stone surrounds and 20th-century top-hung casements. Above these, there are two similar windows and two smaller windows above again. To the right, there are two doorways from the 19th or 20th century, each with stone lintels, followed by a 20th-century window. There is an original window above with a segmental arch and casement lights, which has no dressings, and a similar but smaller window above it. The building is listed for its group value only.
