Description
The Fold is a former single house that has been converted into two cottages. It dates back to 1704 and has undergone some alterations in the 20th century. The building is constructed of slobbered squared rubble with stone dressings and features a stone slate roof. It stands two storeys high and has three bays.
The left-hand bay is set back and includes a 20th-century entrance with a plank door. On the ground floor of this bay, there is a 4-light double chamfered mullioned window with a hoodmould above it. The upper floor features a 3-light double chamfered mullioned window. The left-hand gable end has a kneeler and a ridge stack.
To the right, there are two additional bays. The right-hand entrance has a chamfered surround and a basket arch inscribed with "K W G," along with a 20th-century door. To the left of this entrance is another ground floor 4-light double chamfered mullioned window with a hoodmould. The upper floor has two 3-light double chamfered mullioned windows. All the windows are fitted with 2-pane casements and fixed lights, and there is a ridge stack located to the right of centre.
