Description
White House Farmhouse is a farmhouse that dates from the mid-19th century but has origins from the early 17th century. It is constructed of rendered rubble with stone dressings and features a stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and consists of six bays.
On the garden front, the entrance is located to the right of the center and is framed by a two-storey gabled porch. The porch has a chamfered surround with a lintel inscribed with "R 1620 B." The entrance door is a six-panel design, with the upper three panels being glazed. To the far left, there is a segmental arched waggon entrance. The ground floor has four windows, while the upper floor has six. The ground floor features two flat-faced mullioned windows, one of which has sashes, and a French window to the left of the entrance. The remaining windows have plain surrounds and are 1970s sashes without glazing bars. The building has a gable-end ridge and three additional ridge stacks, one of which is located to the left of the entrance and likely serves as a lobby entry.
