Description
Dyneley House is a house built in the late 18th century and early 19th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed of ashlar and has a stone slate roof. The late 18th-century section features a parallel range added in the 1820s, which includes a central staircase plan. The front of the house, dating from the 19th century, has two storeys and two bays. The left-hand entrance has a plain surround and a door from around 1970. The right-hand side has a ground floor window and two upper floor windows, all with plain surrounds and 16-pane sash windows, along with an upper floor sill band. The roof is hipped with a central ridge stack. The late 18th-century range on the left includes a two-storey canted bay. The front has a tripartite window on each storey, flanked by two-light windows with narrower outer lights, featuring both sashes and fixed lights. There is a rainwater head inscribed with "1774 H I A".
