Description

This is a milestone located approximately 100 yards northwest of The Hollows. It dates from the early 19th century and is made of cast iron with raised lettering. The milestone has a triangular shape with a chamfered top. The top face is inscribed with "ALSTONEFIELD." The left-hand face reads "WARSLOW 4; LEEK 12," while the right-hand face states "ALSTONEFIELD ¼; ASHBOURNE 7¾."
