Description
Stoneleigh is a house built in the early to mid 19th century. It features coursed and squared limestone rubble with rusticated ashlar quoins and dressings, topped with a clay tile roof that has coped verges and ashlar integral end stacks. The building has two parallel ranges with a rear extension and a two-room plan in the front range, which includes a central entrance passage. It stands two storeys high and has three windows fitted with 16-pane glazing bar sashes. The central entrance has a six-panelled door with an oblong overlight and a flat bracketed hood, while the lintels above the door and windows are lined as voussoirs. The front garden is enclosed by cast iron railings and a gate featuring a fleur-de-lys design, along with square-section stone gate piers and end piers.
