Description

Beresford Cottage is an agricultural worker's cottage dating from the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble with flush ashlar dressings and features a clay tile roof with coped verges. The building has an ashlar integral end stack on the west side. It stands two storeys high and has slightly irregular fenestration, including a range of four-pane sash windows on the right side and a small fixed light window on the ground floor to the left. The central entrance consists of a half-glazed door, and there is a skylight to the left. Beresford Cottage is attached to Beresford House, with which it shares considerable group value.
