Description

Small Clough Farmhouse and attached barn is a 17th-century farmhouse that was altered in the 19th century. It is constructed of coursed gritstone with gritstone dressings and features a stone slate roof with a brick ridge stack and a gable end stack. The building has two storeys and angle quoins.

On the south elevation, the house is located to the left and consists of three bays. There is an off-centre doorway with a plank door. To the left of the doorway, there is a 3-light recessed and chamfered mullion window, with a similar 3-light window above it. To the right, a former 3-light mullioned window has been enlarged in the 19th century with casement lights, although the recessed and chamfered lintel and right-hand jamb remain. Above this, there is a window with a recessed and chamfered surround that has been raised in height and features a 19th-century casement window. Further to the right, there is a window set within a former doorway, which has a chamfered lintel and quoins, with a casement window above it.

The barn is attached to the right of the farmhouse and is slightly set back, featuring a single doorway and a single window opening.
