Description

Fairfax Farm House is a house and cottage that have been combined into one structure. It consists of two parts, built in the 18th century and early 19th century. The building is constructed from ashlar stone and features a Welsh slate roof with stone copings and curved kneelers. There are brick stacks at each end of the house section. The building has two storeys and a total of four windows, with one window in the cottage part and three in the house part. The cottage section has three-light casements with glazing bars, while the house section features sash windows with glazing bars set in wooden architraves beneath flat arches that have cut voussoirs and keystones. The central entrance has a four-panel door framed by a pedimented doorcase, and there is a six-panel door with the upper panels glazed on the left side.
