Description
Estbek House is a house from the early to mid-19th century, constructed from coursed squared stone, with the lower courses being much larger, possibly from an earlier period. It features modern clay pantiles, stone copings, and shaped kneelers. The house has stone end chimneys with cornice bands and a moulded eaves cornice. It stands two and a half storeys tall with a basement and has two very wide windows. The left end of the house is canted back. The windows are sash style with glazing bars in wooden architraves on the ground and first floors, while Yorkshire sashes are positioned above. There is a small fixed light in the basement. Access to the house is via eight steps leading to a replaced six-panel door set within a late 19th-century quasi-classical pedimented doorcase, which includes an oblong fanlight.
