Description
Rose Cottage is a house and cottage that have been combined into one building. It dates from the early to mid-18th century and has undergone some later alterations. The exterior is made of roughcast rubble with a stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and features a total of five first-floor windows arranged in a 3:2 pattern. There are part-glazed doors located between the first and second bays, as well as between the third and fourth bays. In the first and second bays, there are 3-light flat-faced mullion windows set within architraves. The third and fourth bays have 20th-century two-light casement windows on the first floor, while the ground floor to the right of the cottage door also has a 20th-century two-light casement window. Additionally, there is a 20th-century single-light casement window on the first floor of the fifth bay. A tie-rod end is visible between the first and second first-floor windows. The building has chimney stacks located at both ends and between the third and fourth bays.
