Description

FYLINGDALES NEW ROAD NZ 9504 (east side) Robin Hood's Bay 19/138 The Old Forge (formerly 6.10.69. listed as The Donkey House, part of St Robert's/Chantry, King Street) GV II House and shop. Late C17 or early C18 house and early C20 projecting shop. Rendered front; pantiled roof with stone coping and kneelers. Gable end to road with left lean-to forming 2 bays. 3 storeys and attic. Full-width shop front with recessed central door. Balcony with wood rail above. Plain sashes in wood architraves on upper floors at right. Small sash at first floor left, and another in chamfered opening on right of attic; attic left opening blocked. Chimney on gable peak; curved kneelers. Steps up on right return and two 16-pane sashes.
