Description

Lilly's Cottage is a house and shop located in Robin Hood's Bay, dating from the mid to late 17th century, with some alterations. The building is rendered on stone, featuring a visible sloped plinth. It has two storeys and an attic, with one wide bay and a gable end facing the road. On the left side, there is a half-glazed 20th-century door beneath a bracketed gabled hood. To the right, a 20th-century four-light transomed shop window is present. The first floor has paired eight-pane sash windows that are linked by a projecting cill, while the attic features a six-pane sash window with a similar cill. The eaves are adorned with moulded coping.

Inside, the cottage has stout joists with a near-flat cyma-moulded chamfer and an 18th-century stone fireplace.
