Description
Roseberry Cottage is a house, possibly from the early 18th century, with some alterations. It is constructed of coursed sandstone, which may have been reused, and features varied toolings. The front of the house is covered with incised render. The roof has been renewed and is now pantiled, with a stone ridge, copings, and kneelers. The building has two storeys and two bays, with an irregular layout. The left side has a four-panel door beneath a bracketed gabled hood, while there is a boarded passage door on the right. There is one sash window on the first floor at the extreme right, and the front otherwise has no openings. The new roof has a much lower pitch than the original, which can be seen from the gables that stand clear. There are two attic sashes on the left return, while the right return is blank with a blocked attic window. The rear elevation faces the river.
