Description
Brudenell Cottage and Cramford is a house that has been divided into two dwellings, dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of coursed sandstone with various tooling and features a pantiled roof. The building is two storeys high and has two bays. The doors are paired in the center, sheltered by flat hoods supported on long brackets. Number 7 has replaced four-pane sash windows, with the upper window set in a lengthened cyma-moulded opening, while Number 8 retains twelve-pane sash windows. There are traces of older openings on the first floor. A datestone dated 1732, possibly reset, is located to the right of Number 8 and bears the initials J. S. The building also features coved eaves and large curved kneelers.
