Description
Meadow Croft is a house, probably built in the mid-18th century, with some alterations. It is constructed of ashlar stone, which may have been later pecked, and has a pantiled roof. The building is two stories tall with an attic and features three irregular bays. The entrance is an off-centre four-panel door set within a later 19th-century wooden surround that has a bracketed cornice. On either side of the door are 16-pane sash windows with tooled lintels and projecting cills. The first floor has three 12-pane sash windows beneath wooden lintels, and there are traces of earlier openings visible. The eaves are coved, and there are large kneelers at both ends of the building. A three-light dormer on the roof contains modern casements with glazing bars.
