Description

FYLINGDALES NEW ROAD NZ 9504 (west side) Robin Hood's Bay 19/147 The Rainbow (formerly 6.10.69. listed as Warehouse belonging to The Fish Shop) GV II House and shop, early-mid C19. Fine herringbone-tooled coursed sandstone; pantiled roof with stone copings, kneelers and stacks. 2 tall storeys and attic, 2 wide bays. Right modern panelled double door, part glazed. Modern 2-light casement in centre and 4-light shop window at left within segmental former cart arch with cut voussoirs. Inserted low 2-light casement just above. First floor two 24-pane Yorkshire sashes. 2 flat-headed dormers with 4-pane sashes in wood architraves. Small curved kneelers; cornice-banded end chimneys. Included for group value.
