Description
Storm Cottage is a house from the early 18th century that was refurbished in the early 19th century. It features ashlar stone with incised render on the rear. The roof is covered with pantiles and has a stone ridge, copings, and kneelers, along with old brick chimneys. The building has two storeys and two bays, with an irregular layout.
On the left side, there is a four-panel door located under a gabled hood supported by shaped brackets. To the right, there are two 12-pane sash windows framed in wood architraves. On the first floor, there are two similar sash windows that are spaced more widely apart. The jambs of earlier windows, which were likely mullioned, are visible on both floors. The eaves are coved, and there are prominent moulded kneelers and end chimneys.
The rear elevation, facing Fisher Head, has one storey and an attic. It features a top-glazed six-panel door and tiny windows on the left side. The right side is partly concealed by a lean-to that has a boarded door on the left return. There is also a late 19th-century six-pane sash window in an off-centre raking dormer.
