Description
Rothwell Cottage is an early 19th-century house, possibly with an older rear part. It is built of pecked and margined sandstone and has a pantiled roof with an old brick chimney. The gable end faces the road and the building has two storeys and an attic, featuring one wide bay. The ground and first floors have replaced 16-pane sash windows, while the attic contains an early 19th-century 8-pane sash window. There is a 20th-century casement window inserted on the right side of the ground floor. On the right return, there are two small early 19th-century sash windows and a fixed light. The entrance to Rothwell Cottage is located in the corner of the rear elevation of the adjacent building, Chiltern.
