Description

Selborne House is a house, likely dating to the late 18th century, located in Robin Hood's Bay. It was formerly listed under the name Tyson's Row. The house is constructed of coursed sandstone with varying tooling, with thicker courses at the base and herringbone tooling above. The top storey was probably added in the early 19th century. It has a pantiled roof with stone copings and kneelers, and a rendered stack. The house is two storeys with three bays. The central entrance features a four-panel door. Small flanking windows are present; the left is a fixed light and the right a sash window. Three modern windows with 18 panes are on the first floor, while three early 19th-century windows with 12 panes are on the second floor. It has prominent curved kneelers and a chimney on the left end.
