Description
The Men's Institute is a house built in the mid-18th century, located on the west side of King Street in Robin Hood's Bay. It features ashlar stone construction and a pantiled roof with stone copings and kneelers, along with an old brick chimney stack. The building has two storeys and a cellar, with three windows on the front facade. The right side has a four-panel door with an over-light set in a plain frame. The windows are 12-pane sashes, framed in wood architraves and positioned under extended keyed lintels; all the sashes are from the 18th century, except for the one above the door. There are also two small openings in the basement. The roof is high-pitched, with a chimney located at the left end.
