Description
This barn or byre, located approximately 50 metres north of Warren Farmhouse, dates from the late 18th century and has been altered over time. It is constructed from rubblestone that has been brought to course, topped with a pantile roof featuring stone coping and a ridge. The building consists of four bays and has two stable doors along the south side, as well as slit vents. An eaves band runs along the structure. The left side has a blocked loft opening with a bird hole above it. Inside, stone columns support the principal-rafter roof trusses, and there are two tiers of through purlins. Stone nesting boxes are positioned along the left-hand wall, and there is also a blocked loft opening on the right gable.
