Description

This is a barn and byre range with lofts above, dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed from finely-coursed herringbone-tooled sandstone and features a pantiled roof with stone copings. The building is 1½ storeys high and consists of five irregular bays. There are four boarded doors, three of which are stable-type, along with a boarded double door, all set beneath heavy tooled lintels, except for an inserted door on the left. The first floor has four loft doors, which are interspersed with three owl holes, one of which is blocked. Additionally, there are slit vents in the central and right sections, and a small lean-to on the right side that includes cart doors.
