Description

This is a milepost located approximately 550 metres north of Cam House, dating from the late 19th century. It is made of cast iron and has a triangular shape. The left side of the milepost indicates a distance of 8 miles to Thirsk, while the right side shows a distance of 6 miles to Helmsley. The sloping upper face is marked with "NRYCC."
