Description
The stable block to Oldstead Hall, now used as utility rooms, dates from the late 18th century. It features a combination of sandstone ashlar and a pantile roof for the stables, while the coach house is constructed of brick in irregular bond with a pantile roof. The coach house is located on the left and has two tall brick arches, along with gable coping and shaped kneelers. The stables, positioned to the right, are two storeys high with a cellar and consist of four bays, with the second bay breaking forward. There is a six-panel round-headed door on the left and a board door beneath a round arch leading to the cellar in the third bay. The second, third, and fourth bays contain sash windows with glazing bars, and there are blocked windows above them. The left side has gable coping and a shaped kneeler, and there are former stable entrances located at the rear.
