Description
Hill Cottage and Peartree Cottage are two houses built in the 18th century, with later alterations. They are constructed from squared sandstone and feature a pantile roof with brick stacks. The buildings are two stories high and have a five-window front. There are 20th-century doors at the center and to the left and right of the center. To the right of the center door, there is a 2-light, small-pane horizontal sliding sash window, and a fixed-light window at the left end. The remaining ground floor windows are 3-light casements with glazing bars. On the first floor, the center window is a 2-light, large-pane horizontal sliding sash, while the other first-floor windows are 3-light casements. All windows have painted sills and painted lintels above the openings. The buildings have brick stacks at the left end, left of center, and right of center. They are included for their group value.
