Description

Lyndale Cottage is a house from the early 18th century that has been raised at a later date. It is built of squared sandstone and features a pantile roof with brick stacks. The cottage has a three-cell, hearth-passage plan and stands two storeys high. The central left side has a 20th-century part-glazed door, with a fixed-light firewindow to the right. The remaining ground floor windows are two-light casements with glazing bars, while the first floor windows are two-light, small-pane horizontal sliding sashes. All openings have painted timber lintels, and there is a stepped eaves course. The building has stacks at the ends and left of centre. It is included for its group value.
