Description

Hill Cottage and Rose Cottage are two cottages, possibly originating from a former hall-house. They appear to date to the late 17th century. The cottages are constructed of coursed colourwashed rubble with a steeply pitched roof of Cotswold stone. Two chimneys were rebuilt in the 20th century. The cottages are two storeys high and have an irregular arrangement of windows. The right-hand gable has been rebuilt. The ground floor windows are casement windows with 2 and 3 lights, each with a moulded wooden lintel. Two 4-panel doors from the mid-19th century are located on the left and right of the centre, each with a timber lintel.
