Description
St Winnow is a house dating from the 15th or 16th century, which underwent significant restoration in the mid-20th century. It features rubble construction and a Cotswold stone roof. The building has two storeys and two windows on the first floor, which are 20th-century three-light hollow chamfer mullion windows with drips. There is a stilted label with moulded stops above the left-hand lancet window on the ground floor, which has a moulded head set in a deep chamfered reveal. To the left of centre, there is a 20th-century angled and hipped bay window. On the right, a 20th-century ashlar Tudor arch doorway is set in the original deep chamfered window reveal, retaining the upper part of a triple lancet with moulded heads and leaded lights, which now serves as a transom light. The door is made of oak and features wrought-iron strap hinges. The north gable, which is rendered, is likely timber framed.
