Description

Japonica Cottage is a cottage dating from the late 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. It features a timber frame with brick and plaster infill, painted, and has a thatched roof. The building is 1½ storeys high and consists of two bays, with a lean-to structure at one end. On the left-hand side of the centre, there is a plank door set in a solid frame. To the left of the door, there is a two-light casement window, and a similar window is located in the eyebrow dormer. The roof is half-hipped, and there is a stack on the left-hand end. Additionally, there is a 20th-century lean-to added to the right-hand end.
