Description
This barn, located immediately to the east of Thorn Farmhouse, is likely from the 18th century. It features granite rubble walls and a half-hipped corrugated iron roof at both ends. The barn has a long rectangular shape, with what is probably a shippon on the ground floor and a storage loft above, making it two storeys tall. There is a central doorway that serves both the ground and first floors. To the left on the ground floor, there is another doorway, and slightly to the right, a loading door above it. A window is positioned at the far right of the ground floor. On the right-hand gable end, there is a small window opening, likely original and framed in granite, located on the ground floor. This barn forms a group with Thorn Farmhouse.
