Description
77 East Street is a house dating from the early 19th century. The building is rendered, with the upper storeys of the front covered in slate-hanging, which was re-slated in Delabole in the late 20th century. The right side wall is rebuilt in red brick at the front, while the rear is made of old stone rubble. The house features a hipped slated roof and a wide rendered chimney at the center of the ridge. It has three storeys and is two windows wide. The ground storey includes a single triple-sashed window with a doorway to the left. The doorway is flanked by pilasters and has a frieze with incised Grecian decoration, as well as a moulded cornice and panelled reveals. The door itself has six panels and a cobweb fanlight above it. The upper storeys have six-paned sashes, although the upper sashes on the third storey contain only three panes. There is also a bracketed eaves-cornice.
