Description

No. 12 North Street is a house with a shop, dating from the early or mid 18th century. It is likely the end of a building that originally included Nos. 12 and 14. The front is rendered and probably timber-framed, with a hipped slated roof sloping to the right and a rendered chimney on the rear wall. The building has three storeys and is one window wide. The late 19th-century shop front is notable, while the upper storey features sash windows set in moulded flush frames, each now having only one horizontal glazing bar per sash. The eaves are adorned with a coved cornice.
