Description

November Cottage is a 17th century timber-framed building with painted brick-nogging infill and painted gable ends, topped by a steep pitched roof covered with plain tiles. The cottage has a rectangular plan, running west to east, consisting of three bays and standing between one-and-a-half and two storeys high, with a depth of one room. It features a west gable end stack and single-storey lean-tos that project from the rear at both ends.

The west gable is made of painted brick and has two two-light casement windows on the first floor. The principal elevation, which faces south towards the road, is timber framed with three panels high and painted brick-nogging infill. The front elevation has an asymmetrical arrangement of windows, including two square two-light casement windows on the ground floor and an off-centre, partially glazed front door, with a possible blocked window above it. The east gable is painted white, with some framing partially painted on the brickwork. The east elevation features one window on the ground floor and two on the first floor, and it also shows part of the collar and tie beam roof-truss structure. The rear elevation, facing north, is similar in materials to the front and is partly hidden by the single-storey lean-tos at either end. There are two roof lights on the north side (rear). The interior has not been inspected.
