Description
The Smithy is a 17th century timber-framed cottage featuring painted brick infill panels. It has a plain tile roof with gabled ends and is one storey high with an attic. The cottage has a two/three-window range with early 19th century two-light casements that include glazing bars. There are two gabled attic dormers and an off-centre plank door topped with a flat hood. A brick stack is located at one end. At the north end, there is a single storey brick addition from the 18th or 19th century, and at the rear, there is a two-storey brick wing from the 19th century.
