Description

No. 36 Hailes Street is an early 19th-century refronting of an earlier house. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features a gabled stone slate roof with a brick end stack. The building has a two-room plan at the front and likely includes a 17th-century rear wing. It is one storey high with an attic and has a three-window range. To the left, there is a timber lintel above a six-panelled door. The front also features an early 19th-century canted bay window with casements, a timber lintel over a two-light casement, and a segmental stone arch over a smaller casement. The interior has not been inspected. This building is included for its group value.
