Description

This is a pair of early 19th-century houses situated in a row on Hailes Street. They are constructed from limestone ashlar, with a plain string course marking the first floor. The roof is covered with Welsh slate, along with some asbestos cement slate, and includes a central brick stack and a coped gable on the left. The houses have two storeys and a symmetrical arrangement of one-and-a-half windows. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars and stone sills. A 20th-century glazed door is on the right, and a 19th-century flush panelled door with a transom light is on the left. The houses retain a largely original appearance externally.
