Description

Barton Cottage is a pair of houses built in the early 19th century, located on Hailes Street in Winchcombe. They are constructed from limestone ashlar and feature a plain string course at the first floor, a stone moulded cornice, a parapet, and coping. The gables are coped with concrete tiles and have brick stacks. The buildings are two storeys high, each with one window. No 33 has good sash windows with glazing bars, while No 35 has sash windows without bars, both with windows above canted bays. Between the windows of No 33 is a 20th-century glazed door, and No 35 has a four-panel moulded door beneath a plain transom light. The houses are included in the listing primarily for their group value.
