Description
Tudor House is a large Victorian Tudor-style house, likely built in the 1880s, located on Hailes Street in Winchcombe. It is constructed from limestone ashlar and features a plinth and a moulded string at the first-floor level, topped with a concrete tile roof. The building has three gables facing the street and is divided into two distinct sections, with a deep wing at the back.
The left section has two gables adorned with quatrefoil-pierced barge boards and is 1½ storeys high, featuring a two-window arrangement with 2-light chamfered mullion casements beneath a stopped drip. This section also includes a large carriage entrance with a four-centred door on the left and a four-light mullioned casement with a king-mullion and transom, also under a stopped drip.
The right section has a coped gable with a small louvred lancet above two cusped lancets and a three-light casement with a transom, all set flush, along with a single opening that was formerly a door. To the left of the facade, there is an ashlar boundary wall that connects to No 16, which is not listed. The wall is about 2.5 inches high and features a plank door in a four-centred arch.
