Description
These are two early 19th-century buildings, likely remodelling of a house dating from the 17th century. They are constructed from coursed limestone rubble with a gabled stone slate roof and brick stacks. The buildings form a U-shape, with wings extending to the rear yard, incorporating a brewhouse. The two-storey front elevation has a three-window arrangement. Flat arches feature over the centrally placed 20th-century paired doors and over the three-light casement windows. A late 20th-century window has been added to the ground floor on the right-hand side. The interior of No. 20 retains stone flag floors, a late 17th-century chamfered beam with run-out stops, an open fireplace with a timber bressummer, and a winder stair. No. 22 has not been inspected.
