Description
5 and 6 East End are two houses dating from the mid-18th century, with the rear of No. 5 being from the later 18th century. They are constructed of coursed limestone rubble and feature gabled stone slate roofs, with artificial stone slates on the front and a brick end stack. The buildings have a two-unit rear outshut plan and are one storey with an attic, presenting a one-window range. There is a chamfered timber lintel above a 20th-century door to the right, as well as timber lintels over a 20th-century window and a blocked window, along with a gabled dormer. No. 5, which is taller, also has one storey and an attic with an old hipped half-dormer. The interiors have not been inspected but are noted to have chamfered beams.
