Description
Two houses on High Street, Woodstock, were significantly altered in the early 19th century, though they incorporate parts of a late 17th or early 18th-century building. The front facades are built of coursed limestone rubble, with a gabled concrete tile roof, and brick end and rear stacks. The houses have a 2-unit plan and three storeys, arranged in a three-window front. Flat stone arches feature over 20th-century doors to the right and centre, and a timber lintel over the central door. Flat stone arches also top a 20th-century window to the right, while a widened opening to the left has 20th-century windows. Other windows are fitted with horned 6-pane sashes with timber lintels. A two-storey wing from the early 18th century with a gabled stone slate roof extends to the rear right. Inside No. 21, there are stop-chamfered spine beams with run-out stops. No. 23 was not inspected.
