Description
No. 15 High Street is a house built around 1830 to 1840. It is constructed of squared and coursed limestone with ashlar dressings and features a gabled concrete tile roof with a brick end stack. The building has an L-plan layout with a rear right wing and stands three storeys tall with a two-window range.
Wrought-iron brackets support a flat hood over a late 19th-century four-panelled door that has an overlight. To the left, there is a keyed stone lintel above another late 19th-century four-panelled door. The windows are mid to late 19th-century two-pane plate-glass sashes set within ashlar architraves with keyed heads. The rear wing is made of similar materials and includes brick quoins. Inside, there are stone winder steps leading to an old cellar.
