Description
Number 5 and Oxford Knitwear is a house that has been converted into a shop and flat, dating from the late 17th century and refronted in the mid to late 19th century. The building is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with a roughcast front and features a gabled concrete tile roof and a brick lateral stack. It has a right-angle plan and a two-storey gable at the front. To the left, there is a mid-19th century panelled and glazed door, and a mid-19th century two-storey square bay window with plate-glass windows and a dentilled moulded wood cornice. Inside, there are cased beams, although the first floor has not been inspected. The building is included for its group value.
