Description

This is an early to mid-18th century house, with alterations made in the early 19th century. It is situated on the north side of Woodstock High Street. The house is constructed of coursed limestone rubble, with squared stone under the eaves. It has a gabled roof covered in tiles, and a brick end stack. The original plan comprised two units. The building has two storeys and an attic, with a two-window front. A wrought-iron bracket supports a flat hood over a 20th-century half-glazed door with an overlight on the left-hand side. An early 19th-century canted bay window incorporates glazing bar sashes. Flat stone arches top the six-pane sashes on the first floor. Hipped roof dormers have been added. A two-storey and attic rear wing includes doveholes under the eaves, facing the rear. The interior was noted to have old beams, but has not been inspected.
