Description

This is a late 18th-century house located on the north side of Woodstock High Street. The house was originally a single-unit dwelling, later extended to create a double-depth plan. It is constructed of squared and coursed limestone with a gabled concrete tile roof, and Welsh slates to the rear. A brick stack is located at one end. The house has three storeys and an attic, featuring a single window on the front elevation. A flat stone archway provides access to a 20th-century panelled front door. A mid-19th century square bay window with plate-glass windows is prominent. The first floor has stone lintels, while the second floor features flat-arched brick architraves surrounding early 19th-century eight-pane sash windows. A gabled roof dormer is also present. A mid-19th century wing extends to the rear, characterised by a lean-to roof of Welsh slate and brick dressings. The interior has not been inspected, but is considered likely to be of interest.
