Description

This is an 18th-century house, with a second floor and rear wing added in the early 19th century. It is situated on the south side of High Street in Woodstock. The house is constructed of coursed limestone rubble, with the second floor rendered. It has a gabled Welsh slate roof and a double-depth plan. The building is three storeys high and has a single window on each side. The front entrance features a six-panelled door (with two panes of glass) and an overlight, topped by scrolled wrought-iron brackets supporting a flat hood. A bow window is present, along with flat stone arches above early 19th-century eight-pane sashes. The rear block, built of similar materials, also has eight-pane sashes. The interior was not inspected. The building is included on the list for its contribution to the character of the surrounding area.
