Description
No. 36, High Street is an early 19th-century house, now converted into four flats. The building is constructed of limestone rubble with a rendered front, topped with a gabled concrete tile roof and a brick stack. It has an L-shaped layout, including a wing to the rear right. The house is two storeys high with an attic, and has a three-window front. A plank double door with an overlight is located on the left side, while a later 19th-century four-panelled door with an overlight occupies the centre. Early 19th-century eight-pane sashes are set within moulded wooden architraves on the first floor, and gabled 20th-century dormers are present in the roof. The interior was not inspected.
